• What use is Normalize besides correcting hipster photos?
  • Normalize's algorithm analyzes any image you give it to determine what it "should've" looked like. It doesn't blindy run retro-effects in reverse. This means it can correct color balance (white point) problems on your own photos, especially indoor photos.
• If Normalize is crashing on launch it may not have been downloaded properly. This has nothing to do with the app and the best way to solve is to try deleting/reinstalling. If this fails there may be something wrong with your iOS device.
• Normalize has been tested with hundreds of real world photos. It's obviously not perfect. If you get weird results, keep the following in mind:
  • If you're Pasting into the app, try saving and opening (or pasting again). Sometimes copy/paste seems to downsample or otherwise corrupt images in low memory situations.
  • Filters that destroy a lot of color data (black and white, sepia, etc) cannot be reconstructed. If you're trying to fix an image that's only "one" color there's nothing you can do with this app.
  • If you're still getting bad results (and you really think you shouldn't) please attach the image (or provide the instagram URL) in your support email.

• Are App linking URLs supported?
  • Experimentally for now. Official Launch Center and Photo App Link support are under consideration.

  • normalize://paste Launches the app and performs a "Paste" operation
